This past summer my husband and I took a trip to Newfoundland. It was the first time we’d been to this east coast province and hopefully it won’t be our last. Never had we been somewhere where the scenery transforms before your eyes. Every turn of the road showed us amazing views from pine tree forests to barren landscapes, lakes and streams to ocean vistas. This place was remarkable and we only traveled a very small portion of the Island the Avalon Peninsula.
I was told by a friend before our trip that the landscapes of Newfoundland were like that of all of Canada on one Island. She was right.
